Baby Chaos was fucking terrible. I tried like hell to like them, but finally gave up.
Baby Chaos' 'Love Your Self Abuse' hasn't aged
that badly, really. Same can't be said for Moist's
'Silver' though... 5 amazing songs, and the
rest... sub-Hothouse Flowers at best. - Hothouse

D. You'll get a kick out of this. When I played in Grandma Moses, we opened for Moist one night at a club called The Big Easy in Vancouver. We were pretty infamous at that point around town, for putting on a bit of a bizarre show. That night I had two hot air popcorn machines gaffed to my kick drum, we had the bubble machine, and I believe we covered the entire stage in crumpled newspapers about ankle deep.
We also did a spoof on U2's Zoo TV. We had a placard saying GOO TV setup behind an old 20inch TV playing Lesbian Porn. With the Popcorn machines going steady for about 40 minutes and several beers sprayed about, mixed with bubbles, the stage was an absolute disaster.
We found out after we finished that Moist was furious with us because we left the stage in utter shambles. They were also showcasing for Capital that night, which they ended up getting signed shortly after, even though I think we were far more entertaining...ha-ha...but I guess being a non conformist sleaze rock band during the beginning of the grunge era wasn't too in vogue eh?

The best band of the nineties in my opinion was FREAK OF NATURE. Their album "Gathering Of Freaks" reflects the whole feeling of a decade both musically and lirically. A masterpiece... so underrated... Shame
4 Non Blondes. IMO they had quite a few good songs on that album. "Spaceman","Dear Mr. President", "Drifting", Pleasantly Blue", and of course "What's Up"
Collision had an awesome song called "Chains". It was the only good song on the album.
Didn't Belly sing the song "Feed the Tree"?
Great song.
Hagfish has a hilarious song called "Stamp" that got played a lot here on our alternative station about chowing box! LOL!

Baby Chaos I think is still around as Deckard.
Dig was one of the first bands I remeber to have 3 guitarist and had at least one hit. Saw the live twice great shows.
Belly had a hot lead singer that was in another band.
Sponge got stuck in the grunge thing even thou they weren't and had 2 great albums.
The lead singer for 4 Non Blondes is racking in the money by writing stuff for Pink and others.
Black Train Jack rocked but just disappeared.
Hagfish was loved by lots of bands I saw but never heard any of there stuff.

From the 90s I really rated Jellyfish & like the solo work of Jason Falkner from that era too. They were more Glam than most of the Glam scene! ha! ha!
Mind Bomb was a local Chicago band. They were originally called "Daisy Chain" and were friggin' amazing! Full on Glam with a great image. Then they got booked to do a showcase show for Social Act (another good local band). There were majors everywhere, but mainly it was for Mercury records. Well, Daisy Chain took the stage before Social Act and proceeded to pull off a show that nobody could turn away from! Brilliant songs, out of this world look, pillow fights on stage with feathers flying EVERYWHERE, and throwing neon daisy necklaces into the audience.
Then Social Act took the stage. Their show would have been VERY impressive, but it was too late, Daisy had just blown everybody away with one of the most amazing shows I had ever seen.
After the show Daisy was signed to Mercury records, and Social Act fell into obscurity. The main guy last being seen as a backing musician in The Chamber Strings.
Daisy Chain hit the studio, changed their entire sound, fired the bassist who didn't like the changes, and they turned into that strange Glam/Industrial/House Music band and changed their name to "Mind Bomb". I was bummed. From what I have been ablt to find Daisy never put out any demos, so there is no record as to how friggin' great they were. Mind Bomb was O.K., but they were nothing compared to Daisy Chain.
Mind Bomb turned into Pivot Man. Now the vocalist (main guy behind it all) is a producer and appears to still be involved with writing and playing. He was known for his ego, BTW.

Primal Scream had their moments, but never fully embraced their RnR/70's Glam hearts. Shame, they could have been one of the best had they stuck to that stuff.
